Recent study warns women that if they don’t want their kids to take up smoking, then they better keep away from cigarettes while expecting.

The researchers surveyed some 3000 mothers and children and postulated that the ratio of the children who took up habitual smoking was greater among those whose mothers had smoked during the pregnancy than among those whose mothers had not.

They established that kids whose mothers had smoked during pregnancy were almost three times as likely to start smoking regularly at or before they reached the age of 14.

Smoking patterns amongst kids whose mothers stopped smoking while pregnant, but then resumed the habit, were similar to those whose mothers had never smoked.

Therefore, would be mothers stop puffing that high!
