Premature birth linked to hyperactive behavior

Here’s another reason for pregnant women to take care of themselves and the life in their womb so that they give birth to a healthy baby and save him/her from being pre-mature. According to a Danish study, pre-term and low birth weight babies are three times more vulnerable to suffer from hyperactive behavior in comparison to the babies born after completion of the entire term. Babies born at 34-36 weeks are 80% more likely to have hyperkinetic disorder (HKD), which is characterized by low attention span and impulsiveness. The study comes as a call to all the pregnant mothers to work towards maintaining a healthy lifestyle all through the pregnancy, in order to give birth to a healthy baby born after the completion of the gestation period.
