Gestational diabetes is a condition when a hormone called insulin is not produced by pancreas, which is very essential for the break down of sugar in our body.

1. Eat variety of food in a day and make sure that you take food and snacks in equal measure
2. Be very particular about your meals, avoid skipping them
3. Take a very good breakfast .Try to avoid fruit and juice altogether but concentrate on protein intake
4. Prefer taking high fibrous food this’ll help in keeping the blood sugar level from going too high after meals
5. Shun soda, fruit juice, flavored teas, and most desserts these can quickly raise your blood sugar
6. Instead of milk, take club soda with a squeeze of lemon or orange, or unsweetened decaffeinated iced tea. Milk has a form of sugar in it which is not recommended (in high amount) in Gestational diabetes
