All the ‘to be moms’ who are planning to go for a cesarean section due to any possible reasons may rethink about their decision. According to a research pregnant mothers who deliver their babies via C-Section do not bond with their babies, the way other moms who go the normal way do. The scientific reason that goes behind this astonishing revelation is a hormone called Oxytocin, which is actually a hormone of love. Maximum amounts of this hormone are released immediately after the delivery and any unnatural disturbance(C-Section) in the flow of this hormone can disrupt the love bond that the mother forms with her baby during this time. French obstetrician Michel Odent opines that: "What we can say for sure is that when a woman gives birth with a pre-labor Cesarean section she does not release this flow of love hormones, so she is a different woman than if she had given birth naturally and the first contact between mother and baby is different." Agreed to all this, but looking at the current scenario, where a large number of women are going in for induced deliveries owing to their career plans and other reasons as well, one is forced to think that there are so many mothers and kids who don’t share a love bond…what do you say?
